Steel siding
The exterior steel siding is roll formed and measures 36 inches in width. The steel used for this section is 26 gauge exterior and 29 gauge interior. It has a minimum yield strength of 80 000 lbs/sq.ft and a tensile strength of 82 000 lbs/sq.ft. It is zinc coated on each side and primed and painted in enamel on the exterior side or has a galvanized finish. A range of standard colors is available and they can be mixed at no extra cost.
The siding is cut to length and pre-drilled in shop every 9 inches c/c horizontally and every 36 inches c/c for the roof and 48 inches c/c for th walls in order to insert fastening screws. These screws have painted heads and washers. A neoprene washer is also attached to each screw. All of the flashing supplied is painted or galvanized according to choice.
